Chandra in jail, yet again

Chandra is sitting in her jail cell, contently watching the guards as they go about their business. She looks around the room and takes note of where everything is. This was not her first time here and nor did she figure that it would be her last. In fact, if she had her way it wouldn't be.

She was in for stealing from a noble womans purse right in front of a guard. She had surrendered immediately and let them take her to the jail. Having been told that they would confiscate her money as a fine she was alright with it and was oddly at peace with the whole situation.

The guards Goes up to Chandra's cell with her bottoms back and a crude iron sword and shield. This guard was an old man with a large gray scruffy mustash. He undoes her cell door as it creaks open. "okay little lass you know the drill. to the exit before you get your belongings back." he said pointing towards the door, about 100 yards down the hall allot of groaning was going on, as many of the prisoners had been bandits picking fights with refuges who where actually fighters coming to help hold back the encroaching monster hordes.

Chandra smiles and hops up from the prison bed that she had been sitting on. Still haven't retired yet? she asks him as he's been the one to let her out of here more than once. I had a lot of neighbors here today. What's been going on lately? she asks this cheerfully as she does as he said and begins to walk towards the exit that he had pointed towards. She moves pretty slowly and is gawking around at everything there is to see.

The guards mustache Ruffles a little as he curls his upper lip at the moment he was going to reply to her comment. " Well I guess you haven't heard then, after the Dragon attacked all the villages a lot of refugees have been coming to the city." The old guard lets out a couple coughes leading to a rough harsh spit noise. He then regains his speech with a grunt. "So a lot of would be bandits decided try attack these people unfortunately for them, but luckily for us some of them were actually warriors coming to aid. The peacekeepers have given out in order to for any able warrior to come here to help lower the over massing monsters on the roads to towns." The guard would walk up to the door and hold out her gear. Looking to her ruffling his mustache again he speaks to her. "if i was you i would stop getting caught and getting thrown in jail so i could retire." he says with a coughing laugh. one side of his mustache lifted with a smile.

Chandra listens intently to all of what the old guard says about the problems that have been plaguing the country. She laughs as he finishes and says that he can retire when she stops getting thrown in jail. If she had her way she would stop sooner than later. All she needed was a good break one of these times, but she hadn't seen her opportunity yet. She takes her crude iron shield and crude iron sword, waves goodbye to the guard and then leaves to go look at the notice board in the city square.
