An Evening Walk For Monsieur Laroque

Remy walks through the streets of Mendefera. He is looking for a guard to talk to about joining the effort to clean the area of bandits and monsters. Remy had been with his parents in Mendefera for a while now and everyone seemed fine. After a short walk Remy spots a guardsmen talking to a local. Remy figured it would be as good a time as any to go and speak to the guardsmen.

"Bonsoir my good man. May I ask you as to where I may inquire about aiding the local guards in taking care of the mounting pests that threaten safe travel these days?" Remy was being overly polite because Remy knew that he probably looked like a bandit to most anyone that saw him. Of course looks could be just as deceiving as the facade that he was putting on right now. He never talked so polite unless he was trying to either come across as polite or impress somebody.

The guard looks at Remy. "Indeed I do. Let me read this to you." he then pulls out a scroll. "Sir due to the lack of able bodied guard, we are here by recruiting every able body being to take up arms against the masses of monster stirred up by recent events. This order was given by the peacekeepers.” The guard then lowered the notice so he could look at Remy. Reaching in to a pouch he pulled out an odd looking token, handing it towards Remy. “This token will get you some basic armor and weapons from the armory down the road, as well as some gold coin given for enlisting in to the recruitment army. If you have any questions please ask the barrack captain. He will have more details any questions you may have.” The guard would then walk back up the street in search of more recruits.

Remy takes the token and then bids the Guard farewell. He walks off towards the Quest Notification board.
