Finding a Purpose Again

Walking softly, this 9'2" Minotaur stepped through the gates into the City of Mendefera. If he didn't walk softly, the ground would shake. Having been in hiding for over a year, he had gotten use to moving with more stealth than most Minotaurs.
The city street had more people in it than he had seen in over a year, it was a little daunting. People were staring at him, whether from his race, size, or the slightly blood stained pants that were the only clothes he had left. The blood was his own and his families, it shouldn't bother him to be stared at, but it did. Watching the faces of the people around him... well 20' away from him was as close as people would come..., he looked at every face, watching for hostility, or any resemblence to his bandit group. It wouldn't surprise him to find them taking refuge inside a city if they had someone on the inside.
*What have I gotten myself into? Maybe I should have stayed hidden...*

A member of the city guard sees the Minotaur that is new in the city. He walks up to Kai, there was a notice in his hands. As he stopped in front of the newly released he began to read it. “Sir, due to the lack of able bodied guard, we are here by recruiting every able body being to take up arms against the masses of monster stirred up by recent events. This order was given by the peacekeepers.” The guard then lowered the notice so he could look at Kai. Reaching in to a pouch he pulled out an odd looking token, handing it towards Kai. “This token will get you some basic armor and weapons from the armory down the road, as well as some gold coin given for enlisting in to the recruitment army. If you have any questions please ask the barrack captain. He will have more details for any questions you may have.” The guard then continued past Kai looking for more people to spread the word to.

*Very professional and to the point, he is trained to not show too much emotion. I will have to be more careful incase the guards are not all on the up-and-up with their morals* Taking the token from the guard, Kai inclines his head slightly showing acceptance of the man's words and offering. It couldn't hurt to get some different clothes and money. Kai starts walking in the direction the guard motioned as the Guard's office The pathway cleared before him, making it easy for him to walk, and being so tall made him see the building a ways before he arrived. Time to start something new...
