Searching for Herbs (Falabella & Alexi) (Travel)

((This is an opening post so my first post can have a roll.))

20 sided rolls for events in each post

herb rolls: (So I can see them and not get confused all the time)
6 sided to see if an herb is found - 1-3=no herb, 4-6 = herb found
6 sided to see how much herb is found - 1-2=1, 3-4=2, 5-6=3
9 sided to see what level herb it is - 1=15-20, 2=21-30, 3=31-40, etc. etc.

Falabella was already a little leery about being outside the city without Tokara, and she wanted to get this done quickly with a good return.  She started thinking about the herbs she'd read about in her herbalism booklet.  And having gotten a variety of herbs for finishing their quest, she'd gotten used to their scent and would be able to distinguish it from others.  

Ready to get the most on her time, she casted a spell: Wind Scouting - Find Herbs.  This would draw the air from all around her in, bringing with it the scent of herbs, helping her find more than her eyes could do.  The spell took some time so she started searching the roadside as she walked.  "I'll be working a little magic to speed up the search, don't worry if you see the wind rushing at me." She told Alexi, making sure she wouldn't get spooked.

Alexi nodded at what Falabella had said as she continues reading. Now she is on to a spell that seems to be a strong wind spell. It had a good range and seemed powerful. There's a spell in here you may want to learn. It's called Shredding Wind 5. It seems like quite the strong spell. I'm not sure you'd be able to use it yet though. She says as she moves onto the next spell which seemed to be a defensive water spell that would be useful against fire attacks.

(Alexi is floating and there is a lump of iron ore just laying on the ground. It is only about two pounds of iron.)

Alexi continues floating along and as she does so her feet brush something on the ground. She looks down at it and it is some raw iron ore on the surface of the ground which was really odd. She picked it up and put it in her bottoms backpack. She then resumes reading her book as she wants to learn as much as she can before the day is through. She is now reading about a strong defensive wind spell that she doesn't think Falabella would be able to use yet. It would be good to see how she was in battle to be able to see how skilled she really was.

Having not had any luck with her eyes yet, she was hoping her spell would have more. She saw Alexi find some iron and pick it up. Laughing, she said, "And you spent so much time in the mine when you could find it just lying there."

By this time the wind had gathered enough and rushed at her from all directions, swirling around and mussing up her hair. She inhaled deeply, repeatedly, trying to decipher the scents for herbs.

Suddenly a group of five bandits jump out of the bushes. Two bump into each other and start arguing while a third falls on his face because he tripped over his own feet when he jumped. A fourth bandit is laughing at the one that fell down while a fifth one is face palming. The one that had been face palming points to Falabella. Give us yer horse little girlie! And whatever else you have that we might happen to want! If you give it to us now we won't harm you.... much. He then smirks as he feels he sounded like a badass when he said that.

Just as she was about to check on some unfamiliar herb scents, a group of bandits came toward them. But they were such bumbling idiots that she almost couldn't believe they were even real. It must be their first robbery or something, only that could excuse such unprofessional behavior... even for bandits.

Carefully watching the group, she took one of her regular Damaging needles and staked Ara's reigns into the ground, keeping him from running off. Doing a quick inventory check, Claws and Spikes both on her hands, she is ready for close combat if needed. She grabs 4 of her Damaging Needles MM from her sides, and readied her aim.

"Little dogs always bark the loudest," she taunted the bandit who had spoken as she hurled her needles, 2 into each of the men who were fighting with each other, trying to take advantage of the fact that they were distracted. As soon as they left her hands she started charging Shriek, she'd need to keep them at a distance for as long as possible.

Alexi is startled by the strange men who had just came out of the forest in some kind of ambush. She puts away her book and the prepares herself to fight. She holds a hand out and light blue energy can be seen on her fingers. A burst of magic comes from her hand and is shot towards the bandit that was standing in the front seeming to command the group... if the group was even capable of taking orders that is as they seemed as pathetic a group of bandits as was possible.

(-2 Stamina and 5 Magic So 98 Stamina + 295 Magic)

The attacks all hit to varying effects. The two that Falabella attacked both get hit directly by all of the needles and immediately drop to the ground and start rolling around crying, they pull out the needles, drop them on the ground and then get up and run away. The one that Alexi attacked is hit by the magic and yells Oi! Yer not supposed to fight back ya know?! What's the world coming to these days? Meanwhile the bandit that had been laughing charges towards Falabella. While the one Alexi had attacked starts slowly marching towards Alexi.

Not surprised to see those 2 bandits cry like little girls and run away, it made it easier who to aim her Shriek at since she could only do it to 3. She was happy to see Alexi attacking with magic, if she wasn't just a healer, this might be even easier than she'd thought. Targeting the bandit charging her, the one walking at Alexi and the one still lying on the ground from his trip, she casts her Magic.

A terrible noise emerges from her mouth, directed only at the 3 and not effecting Alexi except that she can hear a slightly annoying noise. This spell will decrease the targets weapon and hand to hand ability and possibly stun them also. She charges Wind Sickles as her next magic attack and grabs 4 more Damaging Needles MM from her back this time.

Alexi takes a second to marvel at how battle ready Falabella was. She then again has her hand light up a pale blue and she again forms a blast of magic and fires it at the bandit that is marching towards her. She is hoping that she won't have to heal anybody. She is perfectly capable of it but would rather that no one get hurt. She still had a hard time believing that these men were actually bandits. Maybe this was just a poor joke being played on them.

The bandit on the ground covers his ears and slowly stands up but doesn't make any advancements.

The one charging Falabella is just getting into range for him to do a slash but is not there yet. ((Next NPC Post he will be in range to attack.))

The one marching towards Alexi covers his ears and recoils from the magic before charging towards Alexi at a sprint. ((Next NPC post he will be in range to attack)

Decisions decisions. She could either kill one of the right now with her spell or damage 2 of them with her Needles. She was a little worried what would happen to Alexi if her bandit actually reached her, so she made her decision. Falabella knew that she couldn't aim her Wind Sickles at Alexi's bandit if he reached her since it could hit her also but if she used her spell at her own bandit she wouldn't be able to help Alexi with hers until he'd already reached her. Releasing her Wind Sickles at Alexi's bandit, she quickly dropped her 4 Damaging Needles, glancing at her Claws and Spikes, readying for close combat... Maybe. She started gathering power again for a Wind Knock Back, just incase.

Alexi begins backing away from the bandit, hoping to stall him. Suddenly she sees Falabella's magic attack directed at the bandit and she fires a magic attack of her own at the bandit that is rolling around on the ground. She would have attacked the one charging Falabella, but she was afraid that the splash damage would affect her as well and she didn't want to friendly fire a teammate in her very first battle. If worse came to worse she would just have to heal Falabella.

((135 Magic now (Messed up earlier), 44 Stamina))

The bandit that had been heading towards Alexi is hit by all of the blades of wind and starts running away as he is close to dying. The one that had just gotten up is hit by the magic attack and starts running towards Alexi. He is now 30 feet away from her. The one that was charging Falabella takes a dagger and slashes at Falabella's mid-section.

She knew could knock him backward easily with her charged spell, but it would only lead to another charging attack, either by her or him. Instead she takes Flight, straight up into the air with a slight forward movement. She gets just over his head plus 3 feet to be out of arms reach and does a 180 spin. Her momentum had brought her behind him, and now facing his back, she falls back down to the ground feet first. It was as if she'd jumped really high and spun in the same motion only to come back down smoothly like a gymnast. Coming down now, she punches her Spikes to go in straight through his spine and then her Claws go in to rake his neck and back from left to right with her right hand. It was a little brutal, but he was trying to hurt her, he deserved no pity or mercy in her mind.

-8 Energy (2 flight, 3 Claws, 3 spikes) = 283

Alexi is paying sole attention to the bandit that is charging her and does not see what is going on right now with Falabella and the bandit. Again she charges another attack as she is not going to be able to do any other kind of ranged attack yet until she can get stronger or enchant her spells. The light blue ball of magic is fired again at the charging bandit. It frustrated her that the magic attacks were doing so little to the bandits. She knew she should have enchanted before leaving the city.

The bandit that Falabella was attacking is unable to keep his balance from his attack when Falabella jumps and goes to attack from behind. The bandit effectively faceplants inadvertently dodging Falabella's attack. He holds onto his face and rolls over holding his nose. He had gotten quite a nosebleed from the landing apparently.

Meanwhile the bandit charging Alexi takes the hit from the magic blast and keeps on charging towards Alexi. He is now 20 feet away.

Falabella was in a very short state of shock at how weak and clumsy, if not outright stupid, these bandits were.  Sure it had saved him, but seriously? Losing your balance?  She was losing her enthusiasm for this fight, not that she'd let them walk all over her... but she no longer felt that burning drive to end their lives since they was just too pathetic.  Three of them had just run off crying, and this one seemed too stupid to know which end of his dagger was the sharp one.  

Looking at him on the ground with a mixture of disgust and pity, she turned to the man attacking Alexi, keeping her bandit in her peripheral vision incase he made a cheap move.  Aiming her Knockback at Alexi's bandit, she released her Spell.  She then gave her bandit her full attention again, her weapons at the ready.  Charging her Wind Sickles, she tells the man, "Give up before bleed from more places than your nose."

3 post cooldown on Knockback.  Knockback can knock 1 person back 10'.  For every additional person, the range is cut down by 1'.
