    Hunting Leveling Guide


    Hunting Skills:

    Tracking – Able to look at the tracks of a creature to discern different things: gender, mating cycle, age, size, type of creature, if they are wounded or not, how many creatures there are together.

    Trapping – Able to lay a trap down for creatures to trap them alive or dead.  Types of traps: Pit Falls, Trip Wires, Snares, and Mechanical.  There are ways to combine different traps with each other and add on bonuses.

    Butchery/Skinning – Able to Skin creatures and tan the hides or make them able to be used as armor.  You can also harvest meat parts and other items from the bodies.

    Crevice – just wide enough for a specific target to fit in, but they can’t move once they are down there  


    Trip Wire Traps

    Bolo – A Bolo is set up as a trip wire, when activated, they release from their anchors and use the momentum to wrap around the target’s feet, tripping and tangling them.
     
    Boulder – Trip a wire and a boulder comes rolling at you from somewhere.  Can be used with other traps, Ex. Pit fall and Boulder trip wire can trap someone in a pitfall and the boulder would fall on top creating a lid.

    Poison Darts – Trip a wire and poisoned darts shoot at you from all sides but not above or below.  

    Guillotine – Trip a wire and a long blade is released either from above or from the side.  This will only aim for the target once, then hang useless until reattached to releasing point.

    Swing Block – Trip a wire and a wooden or metal block or log will be released from hiding and swing using a pendulum motion toward the target.  It does Blunt damage instead of Slashing or Piercing.  How heavy it is determines how much damage it does.  This will swing back and forth until stopped, or until it runs out of momentum after 20 posts (if someone comes upon it, and the original players have left topic, it has stopped moving).  

    Swing Spike – Trip a wire and a sharpened spike will be released from hiding and swing using a pendulum motion toward the target.  It does Piercing damage.  Can be wooden or metal, smooth or serrated, etc. This will swing back and forth until stopped, or until it runs out of momentum after 20 posts (if someone comes upon it, and the original players have left topic, it has stopped moving).  You may want to sharpen both ends to be more effective.  

    Pendulum Axe – Trip a wire and a giant axe head will be released from hiding and swing using a pendulum motion toward the target.  It does Slashing damage.  This will swing back and forth until stopped, or until it runs out of momentum after 20 posts (if someone comes upon it, and the original players have left topic, it has stopped moving).  Can have different sizes of Axe heads.


    Snare Traps

    Upward Snare Traps – Wraps around you/your foot and lifts you straight up into the air.  Can use both Rope and Net, regular or metal.

    Drag Snare Traps – Wraps around you/your foot and drags you along the ground, usually into another type of trap.  Can use both Rope and Net, regular or metal.

    XL – 1000lb (risk of breaking 20%)
    Metal Wire Rope (sizes by how thick the rope is) (Metal can be plain or razored or barbed, etc.  This will do damage as they struggle and during the actual trapping)
    Sm – 500 lb.
    Med – 1000lb
    L – 2000lb
    XL – 3000lb
    Net (sizes by how thick and big the net is)
    Sm - 100lb
    Med - 500lb
    L - 1600lb
    XL - 2 tons
    Metal Wire Nets (sizes by how thick and big the net is) (Metal can be plain or razored or barbed, etc.  This will do damage as they struggle and during the actual trapping)
    Sm – 1600lb
    Med – 2 Tons
    L – 4 tons
    XLarge – 7 Tons


    Mechanical Trap

    Cage Traps – A cage propped up by a stick or tided up to tree/bush limb.  Once the target enters cage or takes the bait (like a carrot hanging from above), the cage is released and closes down around the target.  

    Bear Trap – A hidden metal claw device that once stepped on will snap shut on the target’s foot (or whatever they touched it with).  They are attached to a chain that is staked to the ground.  Can be serrated, barbed, etc. for different damages.  Can also be drugged or poisoned.  All sizes available at same level just make sure you figure out the size you need properly.

    Bone Breaker – Used with a 1’X1’ Pitfall.  The foot falls in and there is a devise that latches onto the foot/leg and creates a twisting motion to break the target’s leg.


    Bonuses: Can be used with almost all types of traps, use your head and don’t make me write down each one individually.

    Hail – weaponry raining from above prepped in advance must have at least 10 weapons/things.  Can be Needle Darts, Arrows of all kinds, Swords or Knives, you decide.  Even blunt weapons for damage without death like Stones or Clubs.  

    Spikes – Pointed wooden sticks, can have metal tips like a spear for more damage if desired: smooth or serrated, can also be poisoned.  Can be size of length from 6”-10’ and width 1”-6” diameter

    Gas Traps – Can be Pit Fall, Trip Wire, or Snare.  Vials of herb-dust (dried up and ground to a fine dust) are broken and the herb is inhaled by the target.  Can be any type of herb.  

    Acid Traps – Extracted Acid from creatures can be stored in vials and used as a Hail-type attack within a Pit fall.


    Leveling Guide


    Level 15

    You can find tracks and figure out what type of creature it is.
    You can Butcher/Skin creatures that are the size of a cow and smaller.
    Traps you can use:
    - Pit Fall 1’X1’ max


    Level 20

    Traps you can use:
    - Bonuses – Spikes
    - Trip Wire - Bolo


    Level 25

    You can determine a creature’s size through tracking.
    Traps you can use:
    - Snare Trap – Rope Small
    - Mechanical Trap – Cage Trap


    Level 30

    You can Butcher/Skin creatures the size of an Elephant and smaller.
    Traps you can use:
    - Trip Wire – Boulder
    - Snare Trap – Net Small


    Level 35

    You can track a creature and determine how many are traveling as a group or if it is alone.
    Traps you can use:
    - Pit Fall 4’X4’ Max
    - Snare Trap – Rope Medium


    Level 40

    You can Butcher/Skin any size non-monster animal and Common monsters
    Traps you can use:
    - Bonuses – Hail
    - Trip Wire – Poison Darts
    - Snare Trap – Net Medium


    Level 45

    You can determine a creature’s age through tracking
    Traps you can use:
    - Snare Trap – Rope Large
    - Mechanical Trap – Bear Trap


    Level 50

    You can Butcher/Skin any size non-monster animal and Uncommon monsters.
    Traps you can use:
    - Pit Fall 20’DeepX10’Wide Max
    - Snare Trap – Rope XLarge


    Level 55

    Traps you can use:
    - Snare Trap – Net Large
    - Mechanical Trap – Bone Breaker


    Level 60

    You can determine if a creature is wounded though tracking.
    You can Butcher/Skin any size non-monster animal and Rare Monsters.
    Traps you can use:
    - Bonuses – Gas Trap
    - Trip Wire – Guillotine
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Rope Small
    - Snare Trap – Net XLarge


    Level 70

    You can determine a creature’s gender through tracking.
    Trap you can use:

    - Trip Wire – Swing Block
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Rope Medium
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Net Small


    Level 80

    You can determine if a creature is in its mating cycle (in heat) through tracking.
    You can Butcher/Skin any size non-monster animal and Mini Bosses.
    Traps you can use:
    - Trip Wire – Swing Spike
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Rope Large
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Net Medium


    Level 90

    Traps you can use:
    - Bonuses – Acid Trap
    - Trip Wire – Pendulum Axe
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Rope XLarge
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Net Large


    Level 100

    You can Butcher/Skin any size non-monster animal and Bosses.  You can also harvest anything from the outer layer of a still living creature (skin, hair, fang, claw, but not… “I steal your heart!  Muahahaha”)
    Traps you can use:
    - Pit Fall – Crevice
    - Snare Trap – Metal Wire Net XLarge

    There are Damaging Needles - MM weaved into her corset, giving her additional Defense, when hit they will break when they reach the Rating #.  10 in front, back, and each side, with 4 reg Damaging Needles in front and 2 on each side and back.  As I throw them, I will state which area I take them from.
